Visitor Visa Restrictions
Starting July 1, 2024, holders of Subclass 600 (visitor) visas will no longer be eligible to apply for a student visa while onshore. This change aims to streamline the application process for those within Australia.
Subclass 485 Visa Holders
From the same date, Subclass 485 visa holders will also be restricted from switching back to a student visa. This initiative encourages graduates to secure employment and pursue permanent residency pathways, rather than remaining as temporary residents.
